Maja Chan is a Hong Kong-Polish artist whose work expresses the multicultural identity of Hong Kong people, who often find themselves caught between east and west. She combines historical and cultural subjects with modern styles. Much of her work is centered around Chinese stone-carved dragons, which are found all over her home city. She reimagines these creatures, breathing life and passion into them in the form of colour and texture.
