It is time to prepare for the dawn of a new year. Golden rays of sunlight pour on this dragon’s face as they rise and wash away the cold, blue shadows of the early morning. The warm glaze almost seems like melted gold being poured over the dragon’s cold body of stone, slowly dripping down. The model for this piece can be found among the pillars of the Po Lin Monastery.
