Guardian II
Guardian II
2017
Charcoal, acrylic and newspaper
109 x 60 cm
Framed
Pictured on the left is a mixed media piece. It is composed of a tonal drawing in charcoal of a dragon pillar overlaying torn pieces of newspaper articles and washes of paint. He is a guardian bringing luck and protection while holding up the ornate and structurally intricate ceiling of the Wong Tai Sin Temple and guarding its doors.
This dragon was imagined and realised as part of a set with Guardian I.
