The Calligrapher set was inspired by a dance video installation by director Cheuk Cheung and choreographer Ong Yong-lock, which was exposed at the HKMoA. In the video, the dancer embodies the force, posture and rhythm of calligraphy strokes. Here, The Cloud Calligrapher colours his surroundings with blue clouds which spread and interweave around his body. The dragon’s body bursts through the shroud of clouds, creating a never-ending swirl of turbulence.
